Reformation-based education in Indonesia is mere a
dream-like which never becomes reality—just like an imaginary property of the
group of which has a duty, in the country embeds with Garuda. The ancestor’s
reverie which carries out such a theme is essentially difficult to be applied
because it needs a very strong and stable foundation, not only from one aspect
but also from the aspects which all of it must be well-coordinated and
continually coordinated. Education
reform is a term of new and enhanced education scheme with purpose to improve
education itself. I do believe that with a small improvement in education
supposedly has a large return in social, health, wealth and human resources.
The reform has taken many forms and directions. Throughout history and the
present day, the meaning and methods of education have changed through experiences
result in an educated individual or an educated society. Unfortunately, the
system is not always going well. There are always some of things that must be
fixed along with the era passed. Economical aspect, political and
socio-cultural must have more attentions. Subsequently, the essence by writing
this paper is to give a punch to the governments, so they can apprehend the
authenticity about which education happening in Indonesia.
Getting started with the economical aspect, education is really
in the upper hand. So what is the point? First of all, economical capitalist
system in the midst of nerve of Indonesia has created the government paradigm
towards the education surveillance as the realization of the realm’s services
to the people—it must be comprised some economic sacrifices from the people to
the government. In addition, education has become an agent of which service can
be accessed by the people who only have a big amount of finance. How do we fix
this? Aside from lowering taxes, I think government should be directing more
money to the real economy, not the finance economy. The volatility of the
markets is so great that more is won or lost in single day than in five years
of accumulated interest. That is why education should be the priority rather
than focused on what markets and how markets managed their economy financial. By doing so, later, many of schools
will have their otonomy to decide their own fee to hold the edcuation. Surely,
school will stake on the certain fees as high as possible to increase and uphold the quality. In
result, acces of the poor to feel the qualified education will be limited and
society will be squared and cubed due to social status between the rich and the
poor.

With all explanation above,
people, government and I, myself can see how complicated the education in
Indonesia is. That kind of image makes “The children of Garuda” in Indonesia
surrendered to obtain the education. Living with all of shortages, unskilled
and very low at educational background are only making their future not even
better. Thus, do they only able to dream to get all of those? Of course the
answer is in government’s hand in making the policy about education which is
really unsteady and under crisis. Finally the time has come to settle up the
initial purpose in education to the right path and purify it into the complete
form of education, with all of setting and references after the governments.
That is what reformation truly stands for.
